Round Two - Second chance for Scorpio v Purcell v Cage
Drama Queen:
Scott Rage and Dominator are about to lock up when suddenly there is a commotion on the entrance ramp.... a bearded lady starts running down towards the ring. Once he gets there the cameras reveal that it is not a lady but a Scotsman....
Trumps: Headbutt McHaggis! It's Headbutt McHaggis!
Duckman: Oh bollix, not this c*nt!
Headbutt McHaggis jumops into the ring and headbutts both Dominator and Rage, rendering them unconscious.
McHaggis: I'll f*ckin bonk ya!
Trumps: Both men are unconscious, now what happens?
The ref starts counting out both men until McHaggis headbutts him. Security come and try to restrain McHaggis and after a long struggle restrain him.
The ring is cleared and the Drama Queen briskly walks down to the ring, still wearing his referee shirt from having to stand in as official during the Winchester v Cage match.
DQ: OK, order please, order please... I have an announcement. Seeing as both Dominator and Rage are unable to compete in the next round... that leaves an extra place... so, in order for the drama to continue... there shall be a second chance, triple threat match for the extra place in the quarter finals.
The crowd pop at the thought of an extra match.
DQ: Now... who are the lucky recipients of this second chance? Well... firstly... due to the amount of interference from outside forces in the Winchester v Cage match, Hannibal Cage is hereby named as one of the particpants.
The crowd respond enthusiastically.
Duckman: Good call there, the crowd like this.
Trumps: Not sure why, he dosen't give a crap about them!
DQ: Secondly... due to the outstanding effort in his hardcore match... and because it will be amusing to see him compete despite the fact he can barely stand now... Jack Purcell
The crowd give a mixed reaction, they like that he is still in it, but quite rightly call this a douchebag move by DQ.
Duckman: Ah, now that's just cruel!
Trumps: Not at all, it will build character!
DQ: And finally... because I've downloaded every DesertSechs track that Limewire had, and because I don't want to be sued... Scorpio!
The crowd react with disgust to this, as DQ takes a theatrical bow and exits the ring...
Russ:
Announcer: “The following is a triple threat match, and has stipulations still to be decided…â€
"Pour Some Sugar On Me" his the speakers and the fans begin to boo as smoke fills up the entranceway. After a few seconds Scorpio and Milana step through to even more rapturous boos, and they embrace on the stage before beginning to walk down the ramp. As they walk the fans shout insults towards them, however Scorpio turns his nose up to them, and when he reaches the end of the ramp he takes off his sunglasses and begins to hand them to a kid near the guard rail, instead choosing to crumple said sunglasses up in front of the kid. He and Milana then link arms and walk to the stairs and they walk up them, heading along the apron before Scorpio waits for Milana to sit on the middle rope and push the top one up for him to enter. The two then re-convene in the middle of the ring and embrace once more before waiting for the match to start.
Announcer: “Introducing first, from London, England by way of Las Vegas, Nevada, weighing in at 225lbs… ‘The S-Factor’ Scorpio!â€
Ian Trumps: “I expect Scorpio’s grateful for being given a second chance here!â€
Duckman: “I doubt it. The only thing he’d be grateful for is a perm and new wardrobe…â€
Ian Trumps: “Look just because he’s nippy and agile doesn’t make him gay!â€
Duckman: “I didn’t say he was gay…â€
Ian Trumps: “Oh…â€
"Judith" by A Perfect Circle" kicks up to a massive crowd pop. Lights flicker, and dozens of bras get flung in the air for Hannibal Cage. Cage emerges from the curtains much to the delight of the fans. His hair is cut short, and he seems pretty well cleaned up for his first match in months.
Announcer: “And the first opponent, from Detroit Michigan, weighing in at 245lbs… Hannibal Cage!â€
Duckman: “Now THIS is a competitor! Y’know he beat Billy Joe Winchester last round!â€
Ian Trumps: “What’d he do? Challenge him to some duelling banjos?â€
Duckman: “No he actually battled a damn good match!â€
Ian Trumps: “Stop being so racist to hillbillies! It’s not their fault their mothers all fucked their aunties…â€
The lights strobe as the opening chords of "You're The Best" by Joe Esposito hits the arena, Purcell jumps out from behind the curtain in an almost dance like fashion as he shouts abuse towards the fans. He then struts down the ramp shrugging off the boos of the crowd before walking up the steps and turning around to the entrance ramp before pulling open his leather jacket to show off his body, he then throws the jacket off and climbs into the ring as he retreats to his corner to await the beginning of the match.
Announcer: “And the final opponent, from London, England, weighing in at 209lbs… ‘The Highlight of the Night’ Jack Purcell!â€
Ian Trumps: “Jack Purcell’s the Highlight of any Night, and he knows it!â€
Duckman: “He also calls himself ‘You Girlfriend’s Favourite Wrestler’, but there’s one small problem with that…â€
Ian Trumps: “What’s that?â€
Duckman: “You can’t get a girlfriend.â€
All three wrestlers then look towards the stage as Drama Queen steps out, motioning towards the large wheel-of-stipulations standing on it. He smiles as he speaks to the crowd and combatants.
Drama Queen: “Time to find out our stipulation… faceless receptionist, please spinâ€
The faceless receptionist takes a bit of time to find the wheel (she hasn’t got a face, let alone eyes; bare with her ok?) and finally she spins it. The stipulations fly by with the small hole showing the single stipulation becoming a blur of words and colours. The wheel begins to slow down as DQ watches it come to a stop; noting down the stipulation as he turns to the crowd.
Drama Queen: “Well ladies and gentlemen, we’re going to see these three compete in an… Elimination-Rules Tables Match!â€
Ian Trumps: “TLC Match! OH MY!â€
Duckman: “He said Tables match, idiot…â€
Ian Trumps: “Tables, Leather and Crystals; this is Scorpio’s kinda match!â€
Duckman despairs as the crowd cheer loudly and a few stagehands come running down the ramp with tables, placing them around the ring. The wrestlers all stare at the tables as the referee quickly checks all three men as they each take a corner; Cage looking focussed on winning the match, Purcell looking to win the mind-games with Cage and eliminate his smaller size being a problem, and Scorpio looking, well, at his own reflection in a compact mirror.
Duckman: “Well there’s lots of wood around the ring…â€
Ian Trumps: “Too right! Just look at Milana, gives me wood all day long!â€
Duckman: (Ignoring Ian) “… and we’re about to get underway… tables elimination match… LET’S GO!â€
The bell rings and all three men exit their corners, meeting in the middle and each holds their hands up before interlocking their fingers with each opponent; a three-way test of strength. The larger of the three, Cage, begins to get the upper-hand over Scorpio and Purcell, however the two cocky young wrestlers push back on Cage, bending back and they break the grip between one another, landing a double elbow to Cage’s chest and knocking him back. The fans boo at the double-team on Cage as they get to their feet and smirk, slapping hands; seemingly agreeing to work together to eliminate the larger Cage. Purcell then begins to land forearms into the downed Cage’s face, while Scorpio stomps on his chest. Scorpio then taps on Purcell’s shoulder, making a rolling motion and Purcell nods before he lands a flipping leg drop over Cage’s neck, and Scorpio nails a standing senton. He then pulls Cage up and kicks at his gut, locking in a front facelock and pulling on the arm to expose the gut; giving Purcell the perfect opportunity to kick it hard. The fans give Purcell and Scorpio tonnes of heat as Scorpio climbs up to the top rope, and he taunts as Purcell lands a standing elbow drop, and he laps off hitting a flying elbow drop. The two then slap hands and Purcell stomps down on Cage’s head as Scorpio grabs at Cage’s legs, dropping back and sending the bigger man crashing into the top turnbuckle. Cage stumbles back as Scorpio rolls out of the ring in search of the first table, and Purcell grabs at Cage’s back, just managing to lift him and hit a back suplex.
Ian Trumps: “Fantastic offence from Purcell and Scorpio in the opening moments of this bout!â€
Duckman: “They’re just double-teaming Cage! This is a handicap not a triple threat!â€
Ian Trumps: “You’re just jealous that ScorpiCell is better than you…â€
Duckman: “You named them?! Ah Jesus Christ…â€
Scorpio spends a long while outside trying to decide on a table; it messes with his feng shui if the wood isn’t the right shade of brown, as back in the ring the fans boo as Purcell works over Cage. He pulls the bigger man up and runs off the ropes, slamming into him with a dropkick, knocking him back into the corner before he raises a hand in taunt. He then makes a critical error in turning away from Cage, continuing to taunt the fans and Cage explodes out of the corner with a clothesline to the back of the head! The move takes Purcell by surprise and he drops forward as Cage drops down on him, slamming a knee into his back. Cage then begins to land a flurry of forearms to the back of Purcell’s head as the lightest wrestler in the match manages to break free with a kick and he scurries to the opposite side of the ring, clutching his jaw in pain. He rests on the ropes, however an infuriated Cage isn’t done there as he sprints after Purcell, landing a hard clothesline to take him out the ring! Purcell lands out next to Scorpio, who turns and begins to check that his comrade for the time-being is ok. Behind him, Cage steps out onto the apron and as Scorpio turns, Cage runs along and leaps off, slamming a knee into Scorpio’s jaw! The S-Factor drops back to the ground. Cage then stomps down on his gut and lands an elbow on Purcell before pulling him up and spinning him around, throwing him over the guard-rail and into the crowd! He then turns his attentions to the now-alone Scorpio, and smirks as Scorpio quickly backs up.
Duckman: “Yes! Vengeance!â€
Ian Trumps: “Oh you big bully Cage! Leave that poor woman alone!â€
Duckman: “That’s Scorpio…â€
Scorpio keeps backtracking, however he soon finds himself in a tight spot as he hits the steel stairs. The fans all make an ‘oooooh’ sound as Scorpio looks around him, desperately trying to find a way out of the confrontation with Cage. He begins to try and talk his way out of it, standing slowly and as he places a hand on Cage’s shoulder he taps it, acting friendly to the man he’d just meticulously beaten down. Cage nods, as if he accepts Scorpio’s excuses for the beginning, but his smile quickly fades; and gets replaced with a European uppercut to Scorpio’s jaw! The S-Factor stumbles back against the announce table and Cage quickly lights his chest up with a chop (Wooooo!) and he grabs Scorpio’s head, landing a snapmare before kicking hard at Scorpio’s back. Scorpio shouts out as Cage steps back, and drives a knee into the back before he slams Scorpio’s head back down to the mat and jumps up, landing a leg drop across Scorpio’s throat. He then pulls his opponent up, and slams a forearm into his face before hitting a snap suplex. Scorpio clutches his back in pain and rolls onto his front, standing just in time to get dropped with a clothesline. Scorpio climbs back to his feet, only to get planted with an STO and the fans cheer loudly as Hannibal Cage gets fired up. He grabs a nearby table and turns, however with the table blocking his sight he doesn’t spot Jack Purcell, a fan’s folding chair in hand, come jumping off the guardrail and dropkick the metal into Cage’s head! Cage drops back and Purcell keeps hold of the chair as he jumps, leg dropping the metal into Cage’s gut. He clutches the back of his legs in pain as Scorpio manages to stand, and he helps Purcell up.
Ian Trumps: “YES! ScorpiCell is back together!â€
Duckman: “This is ridiculous; Cage finally looked to be back in it and then those two devious little cunts had to go and ruin it!â€
Cage clutches his chest in pain, still feeling the effects of the chair-assisted leg drop as Scorpio nods towards the table that Cage dropped, and Purcell heads towards it as Scorpio pulls Cage up and lands a kick to his gut, before he clubs at Cage’s back before he grabs the left arm and drops, hitting an arm drag. Cage holds his arm in pain as Purcell sets the table up and Scorpio sandwiches the limb between his legs and drops with a knee to the elbow joint. Cage shouts out and the meticulous S-Factor grabs the chair from earlier, and as Cage uses the announce table to help himself up Scorpio brings the chair crashing down on the arm! The crowd gasp as Purcell sets the table up and Scorpio grabs at Cage’s trunks and head, running him at the table and throwing him on top of it. He then nods for Purcell to hold Cage down as he climbs to the top turnbuckle and taunts down at Cage. He then leaps off with a crossbody, but Cage rolls off the table! Purcell thinks quickly and pushes the table forward, out of harm’s way, but is unable to save himself as Scorpio comes crashing down on top of him with the crossbody block! The fans laugh at the backfire as Purcell clutches his chest in pain and Scorpio stumbles to his feet, only to be kicked in the gut by Cage and dropped on his head with a DDT! The crowd cheer as Scorpio looks stunned by the move and Cage grabs him, throwing him into the side of the steel stairs! Milana quickly checks on Scorpio as Cage goes to work on Purcell, landing a knee drop, but the injured arm clearly gives Cage some trouble as he tries to lift Purcell up. He then throws Purcell against the apron, and picks up a nearby folded table, running and throwing it at Purcell!
Ian Trumps: “Flying tables! Flying tables! Flying tables!â€
Duckman: “Yes, quite Ian. But in all seriousness, that table shot has knocked Purcell for six and if Cage can capitalise he can stop these two working together once and for all!â€
Purcell slumps over the apron as Cage raises the table, and brings it down on the Highlight of the Night’s back. He then slides the table into the ring, and throws in Purcell after it. Cage takes a quick stomp onto Scorpio’s chest, making sure that he’s out the match as he enters the ring himself, slamming fist into Purcell’s face. He then runs Purcell at the corner and begins to unload with forearms and chops (Wooooo!) and the fans cheer as Cage slams a particularly nasty elbow into the side of Purcell’s head before finishing with a swinging neckbreaker. He then places the table vertically against one corner, and goes back to Purcell, kicking at his head. He pulls Purcell up, and goes to throw him at the table, however Purcell manages to dodge it and he leaps up, hitting a headscissors and sending Cage dangerously closed to the slanted table. Purcell then runs at Cage, going for a seated senton, but Cage dodges and Purcell just manages to save himself by landing on the second rope, backflipping and landing an asai moonsault! The fans cheer for the move, but then remember to boo Purcell as he stomps down on Cage’s groin, before nailing a leg drop, elbow drop and moonsault combination. He then pulls Cage up, and signals for the end as he sets up a northern lights suplex into the table, but Cage just manages to club at his back and save the match as Purcell slumps. Cage then turns, and lifts Purcell for the same move; but this time Purcell resists. Suddenly a large boo goes up from the fans as Scorpio climbs up onto the apron with the steel chair from previously and he smashes it over Cage’s head! Cage slumps a little as Purcell holds him and the Highlight of the Night nods towards the perpendicular turnbuckle.
Duckman: “Oh no… what are Purcell and Scorpio planning here?â€
Ian Trumps: “I hope it’s a lingerie party!!!â€
Duckman: “No seriously, it looks as though we’ve got an elimination on our hands… Scorpio on the top rope and Purcell holding Cage up against that table!â€
Duckman’s correct folks; Scorpio’s up top and Purcell’s keeping Cage against the wood as the fans rain down boos and jeers on the Ian-proclaimed ScorpiCell. Scorpio taunts, making the gesture of a camera taking a picture before he pats his leg and leaps off, going for a coast to coast! As Scorpio soars across the ring, the fans gasp; not just for Scorpio’s extraordinary leaping ability, but for Cage dropping down and managing to pull Purcell in the way! With nowhere to go and no chance of stopping, Scorpio’s boots crash into Purcell’s chest, driving him back through the wood! The fans cheer loudly as Cage nurses his injured arm on the outside and Scorpio looks on with shock as a pain-stricken Purcell manages to prise himself deliriously out of the splinters. The fans cheer, and Jack Purcell’s elimination from the match is announced. Scorpio continues sitting in disbelief at Cage’s counter, however Purcell has other ideas as he storms at his former colleague, nailing him with the move he calls the Deliberate Knockout; a vicious shining wizard! Scorpio slumps back and Purcell shouts out at him as the referee leads Purcell from the ring, and Cage sets up a table on the outside.
Duckman: “Well that’s our first elimination folks; we’re down to Scorpio and Hannibal Cage!â€
The fans cheer on Cage as he stumbles into the ring, still holding the hurt arm, and he pulls Scorpio up, irish whipping him to the opposite corner and following it up with a splash. The impact causes the S-Factor to stumble out of the corner, and Cage battles through the pain in his arm to climb up to the top, and he leaps off for a diving clothesline, but Scorpio counters it with an armbreaker in mid-air! Cage screams out as he holds his arms, but a re-energised Scorpio won’t give up there as he grabs the arm and begins to punch at it before landing a hard knee. He then places the arm down and stamps, before he walks to a nearby corner and undoes the padding on the top turnbuckle. Scorpio smirks sickly as he drags Cage up and gives him a few forearms for his trouble before pushing him into the corner and he places the arm over the exposed metal. He then climbs out on the apron and grabs the arm, before jumping to the top rope and using it as a springboard off to the outside of the ring, bouncing the arm down on the metal! Cage collapses down forward, holding his elbow in agony as Scorpio grabs a table and slides it in, following its path. As Cage gets to his hands and knees Scorpio runs and flips, landing a leg drop to the back of Cage’s head before he pulls him up and hooks both arms in a double underhook, taking longer than usual to pull on the injured arm before he lifts Cage up and drops him down with a double underhook suplex. Scorpio then lands a wristlock-armbreaker as he drives the arm into the mat, and he applies a fujiwara armbar. Cage screams out loudly, and tries to grasp for the ropes; even going as far as to tap out, but Scorpio won’t relent.
Ian Trumps: “He tapped!â€
Duckman: “It’s useless though; granted Scorpio’s doing a brilliant job of wearing down the one body part, but it won’t put Cage through the table will it!â€
Ian Trumps: “You never know, Cage might put himself through the table as a style of table-giving-up…â€
Finally Scorpio decides its time to give Cage a break, and he releases the arm, heading for the table instead. Cage clutches his arm in pain and uses the ropes to get to his feet as Scorpio sets the table up near a corner. He then turns around and runs at Cage, going for a lariat, however Cage manages to use his healthy arm to reverse it with a back body drop! Scorpio clutches his back in agony as he gets to his feet, and Cage goes for a lariat of his own, but he gets cut-off with an outside crescent kick from Scorpio! The S-Factor pulls Cage up to his feet and runs him at the table, bouncing his head off the wood before he rolls Cage onto it. Scorpio then ducks under the table and climbs to the top rope, signalling for the Nightmare In The Desert; a Corkscrew Moonsault, but before he can hit it Cage slides off the table, saving himself. The fans cheer loudly, however Scorpio shrugs and leaps off, clearing the table and nailing Cage with the move! And electric pop from the crowd for Scorpio’s athleticism. Scorpio springs to his feet and taunts; instantly turning those cheers to boos as he drags Cage up, and looks to throw him on the table, but Cage responds with the LKG; a diamond cutter out of nowhere!
Duckman: “The LKG!â€
Ian Trumps: “That was completely out the blue! Do you think blue goes with Scorpio’s eyes?â€
Scorpio lays out on the mat, un-moving as the fans cheer for Cage, who sits against the ropes nursing his arm. Frustration gets the better of Cage as he knows he’s a lick away from victory, and he pulls himself up, heading for Scorpio as he stamps on the S-Factor’s back. He then battles through the pain to pull the deadweight Scorpio up, and he drags him onto the table and climbs up himself. Cage pulls Scorpio to his feet and locks him in a front facelock; going for a DDT! The fans all stand as it looks as though Cage is about to win, however Scorpio drops down and hits a low blow! The fans boo loud as Scorpio moves himself and Cage the short step onto the top turnbuckle and he lifts Cage up, leaping off and driving him through the table with the leg-hook sitout scoop slam piledriver; The Paparazzi Flash! The bell rings as “Pour Some Sugar On Me†hits the speakers, and the fans rain down boos on Scorpio.
Ian Trumps: “Yes! Scorpio won Duckman! He won!â€
Duckman: “Cunt.â€
Milana slides into the ring and grabs at Scorpio’s arm, lifting it along with the referee. Scorpio and Milana share an embrace in the ring as they slide out of the ring and walk up the ramp, cheering as the fans give them tonnes of heat. At the stage Scorpio and Milana once more embrace, before raising their hands as they exit, leaving a pissed off Hannibal Cage to realise his loss from inside the ring…
Drama Queen:
Just for the record, I received Purcell's match via PM yesterday before the deadline, I am in a rush to go to work though I will copy and paste it into here when I get home this evening.
Drama Queen:
from Jack Purcell via PM...
MS: The following contest is a second chance match in this tournament and its stipulations will be determined by the ring of fortune!
‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ hits the speakers and the fans begin to boo as smoke fills up the entranceway. After a few seconds Scorpio and Milana step through to even more raptuous boos, and they embrace on the stage before beginning to walk down the ramp. As they walk the fans shout insults towards them, however Scorpio turns his nose up to them, and when he reaches the end of the ramp he takes off his sunglasses and begins to hand them to a kid near the guard rail, instead choosing to crumple said sunglasses up infront of the kid. He and Milana then link arms and walk to the stairs and they walk up them, heading along the apron before Scorpio waits for Milana to sit on the middle rope and push the top one up for him to enter. The two then re-convene in the middle of the ring and embrace once more before waiting for the match to start.
MS: Introducing first, from London, England by way of Las Vegas, Nevada, weighing in at 225 pounds, SCOOOOOOOOOOOORPIOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
JD: This guy makes me sick, what a dickbag!
FJ: You’re ways of describing people are just so great.
JD: Really?
FJ: No.
MS: And the first opponent, from London, England, weighing in at 209 pounds, Jack Purcell!
JD: Another guy I don’t like.
FJ: Got a word to describe this one? Idiot.
JD: Do you have to be so hateful towards me Freddy?
FJ: Yes.
‘Judith’ by A Perfect Circle hits the arena and the crowd cheers mostly in a mix of reactions for the man who comes out to the stage. Hannibal Cage gives no reaction to the crowd as he slowly walks down the ramp with his eyes fixed on both Scorpio and Jack Purcell, particularly Scorpio who is standing with a camera taking a photo for his ‘myspace’ page. The crowd continues to cheer as Hannibal Cage gets to the ring and climbs in, the three men stare off as Michelle Smith talks.
MS: And the second opponent, from Detroit, Michigan, weighing in at 245 pounds, Hannibal Cage!
JD: This guy seems cool enough.
FJ: In your words Jon, I think he’s a bit of a ‘dickbag’.
JD: Will you give that a rest?!
FJ: Let me give that some thought . . . no.
Michelle Smith then begins to talk once more as the three men keep eyes locked on one another.
MS: Now, the wheel of fortune will spin to determine the match stipulation!
A computerized wheel of fortune spins on the big screen as the three men divert their attention towards it, it spins reading the following: “The first fall of this match will be a standard match, when one man is eliminated, the remaining two men will face off in a hardcore matchâ€
JD: That’s what Purcell lost in to Stevenson?
FJ: Apart from he was in a singles match.
JD: You know what I mean, now can we just call this match without squabbling like old women?
FJ: Whatever.
Cage, Scorpio and Jack Purcell all stare off in the middle of the ring as the crowd are slightly silenced by the fact none of these guys are particularly well liked although the general mood seems to edge towards Cage, Scorpio and Purcell then nod at each other and take Cage down with a double clothesline.
JD: Bit of teamwork there already!
FJ: That’s going to play up very vitally in this match.
Purcell then delivers a right hand to Scorpio who hits back with a right of his own, Purcell strikes back as Scorpio backs into the ropes and rebounds with a clothesline but Jack Purcell quickly ducks and as Scorpio turns round, he is knocked down with a hard dropkick. He then pulls Cage up to his feet and goes for London Calling but Cage quickly flips him out with a big back body drop, the crowd cheers as Purcell grabs his back in pain, Cage then turns his attention to Scorpio who is now running at him, he takes him down with a quick arm drag as Scorpio rolls up onto his feet once more only to get flipped over again with a hip toss, Cage then paces the ring as the crowd applauds his athleticism.
JD: Rage in control of both men here!
FJ: Only a matter of time before Purcell and Scorpio will realise that they’re going to need to control this guy with the numbers game!
Cage quickly pulls Purcell to his feet and throws him into the corner before delivering a European uppercut to his jaw. The crowd cheers as Purcell grabs his face in pain as Cage then nails him in the stomach with a hard kick to the gut, Purcell slumps into the corner as Cage quickly backs towards the corner but Scorpio is up behind and quickly rolls him up.
JD: Whoa! Roll up here! One, two, no!
FJ: That was sneaky!
Rage gets up, frustrated at Scorpio who is quick to take Cage down to the mat with a dropsault before following up with a quick leg drop. He then sees Purcell in the corner and runs at him delivering a hard front dropkick straight into his face, Purcell slumps down to the mat and falls out of the ring under the bottom rope.
JD: What a connection!
Scorpio then turns his attentions back to Cage who is staggering up to his feet, he whips him across the ring and then runs at him knocking him down with a hard clothesline, Scorpio then flamboyantly taunts his way around the ring as the crowd boos him remorselessly. He then pulls Hannibal Cage up to his feet but Cage is quick to rake the eyes and deliver a sitout jawbreaker to Scorpio who snaps onto his back after the move is delivered. Cage then covers with a hook of the outside leg.
JD: One, two, no!
FJ: Damn that was close!
Scorpio staggers up to his feet as Cage delivers a stiff forearm to the cheek bone before applying a front facehold and going for a vertical suplex but Scorpio quickly flips out to his feet and delivers a snappy neckbreaker. The crowd boos as Scorpio then stalks Cage as he gets to his feet, he then runs the ropes only for Purcell to hop up onto the apron from the outside and pull down the top rope sending Scorpio over to the outside, he then grabs Scorpio by the hair and runs him into the steel steps.
JD: I can tell you now! That doesn’t tickle.
FJ: I can imagine that Jon!
Purcell then sees Cage up at his feet as he gets out of the ring and grabs him by the arm pulling him down to the floor below, he then smashes his head into the ring apron and delivers a back suplex on the outside. Cage yells in pain as he grabs his ribs before Purcell jumps up onto the apron and waits for Scorpio and Cage to get up, he then leaps off with an asai moonsault taking both men down to the ground. Purcell then slides into the ring and raises his hands in the air, a cocky look across his face.
JD: Purcell is very sure of himself here!
Purcell then waits for the first man to get back in the ring, it’s Cage who he delivers a hard stomp to the back of. He then quickly pulls Cage up and whips him across the ring but Cage comes back with a shoulder block and pulls Purcell up before flipping him over with a snap mare and delivering a hard kick to the back. The crowd cheers as Cage then pulls Purcell up to his feet and delivers a neckbreaker before he sees Scorpio back in the ring, Scorpio hits a right hand but Cage overpowers him with a right of his own before quickly delivering a snap suplex, he then stalks Scorpio as he slowly gets up to his feet going for the Last Kiss Goodnight but Scorpio sees is coming and manages to step back as Cage lands hard on his back.
JD: What awareness there from Scorpio!
Scorpio then pulls Cage up to his feet and hoists him onto the top rope before getting up to the second rope himself, he then delivers a series of clubbing blows to back before setting up for a superplex off the top, the crowd tries to get behind Cage as Scorpio begins to lift him only for Purcell to then run to the corner and grab Scorpio in an electric chair drop position, he then slams Scorpio backwards who superplexes Cage in the process in a triangle of death like manoeuvre. The crowd cheers in appreciation of the move as all three men are down.
JD: Whoa! What a move there!
FJ: Whoever can get up now will have a massive advantage here!
All three men slowly stagger up as Purcell is the first person to react quickly nails Cage with a kick to the gut and going for the London Calling but Scorpio staggers up soon enough and runs at Purcell knocking him down with a spinning wheel kick as he flies over the slumped body of Cage. Scorpio then quickly runs at Cage who quickly sees his intentions and steps forwards and drives him down hard with an STO. Cage then starts to go up to the top rope where he balances himself waiting for Scorpio to get up but Scorpio sees his opponent poised up top and quickly runs and knocks the ropes causing Cage to stagger slightly, Scorpio then leaps up onto the second rope before jumping up and catching Cage with an impressive huricanrana.
JD: Wow! What a move!
FJ: Scorpio is damn impressive Jon! You should know that!
Scorpio then staggers slowly up to his feet and turns round to Jack Purcell who is now standing, Purcell delivers a hard kick to the gut and quickly follows up with an inverted atomic drop. Scorpio staggers about in pain momentarily before Purcell pulls him in and delivers a quick sitout scoop slam. Purcell then quickly pulls Cage up to his feet and goes for the Highlight Reel but Cage manages to break out and quickly deliver a DDT driving Purcell head first into the mat. Cage then quickly covers as Scorpio starts to get to his feet.
JD: Cover here! One, two, Whoa!!!! No!
Just as the referee goes for the third count, Scorpio delivers a standing moonsault onto Cage to break the pin, he then pulls both men up and pushes Purcell back into the corner the crowd starts to cheer as Cage then hits the turning Scorpio with a gut kick and goes for a delayed vertical suplex as Purcell jumps up onto the top rope and leaps off with a crossbody hitting Scorpio as he’s slammed down, Purcell then covers.
JD: One, two, no! Cage breaks the pin.
Cage shoves Purcell back as he gets to his feet before delivering a stiff right hand and then swings a lariat at Purcell who ducks it and quickly hooks Cage’s arms and nails him with a backslide driver, Purcell goes to pull Cage up again but Scorpio is up to his feet and comes behind him and delivers a massive blue thunder bomb before pulling Cage up and delivering a falcon arrow onto Purcell, he then throws Cage’s body off of Purcell and covers Purcell.
JD: One, two, no!
FJ: What is it going to take to keep one of these men down?!
Scorpio smacks the mat in annoyance as pulls Purcell up to his feet and quickly goes for the Paparazzi Flash but Purcell slips out the back and nails him with a crunching backcracker. Scorpio grabs his back in pure agony as Purcell turns round into Cage who nails him with the Rude Awakening. The crowd erupts as Hannibal Cage pulls Jack Purcell up to his feet and goes for the Last Kiss Goodnight but Purcell pushes him back into the ropes and as he rebounds he nails him with the Deliberate Knockout before quickly going for a cover.
JD: One, two, no! Whoa! How did he kick out of that?!
FJ: I don’t know, maybe this Hannibal Cage dude has superpowers! That normally knocks a guy out!
Purcell immediately goes and complains to the referee as Scorpio starts to stagger up to his feet as he quickly grabs a camera from one of the cameramen. He then jumps up and hits the camercanrana on Purcell before stalking him for the Paparazzi Flash. Purcell then walks straight into it as Scorpio goes to cover him.
JD: One, two, no! How close was that before Cage broke it up!
FJ: Too close! But why break it up? They’ve still got another fall after this for the two remaining, surely you want to get it done quickly?
JD: Maybe he wants to weaken both men down. Or see’s Scorpio as more of a threat?
Cage then pulls Scorpio up who quickly hits a kick to the ribs and goes for the Paparazzi Flash but out of nowhere Cage connects with the Last Kiss Goodnight and covers!
JD: That’s it! One, two, three!
FJ: Down to two!
Purcell staggers up grabbing his ribs in agony as Cage quickly throws him over the top rope and pulls out a steel chair, he then swings it into the back of Purcell who yells out in pain before he then drives the edge of the chair into Purcell’s back. The crowd cheers for Cage wanting him to beat Purcell, Cage then stalks Purcell going for the Last Kiss Goodnight but Purcell runs him face first into the ring post and quickly goes under the ring and grabs a cricket bat.
JD: Oh! How English!
He then smashes the cricket bat into the ribs of Cage and then nails it across his back, he then throws Cage back into the ring and gets a table from underneath the ring. Purcell then sets the table up in the ring and turns round pulling Cage up who hits him out nowhere with the Last Kiss Goodnight! The crowd erupts into cheers as Cage goes to cover but Scorpio slides back into the ring despite being eliminated and nails Cage in the back with the chair, he then pulls Cage up to the top rope and gets up with him delivering the Paparazzi Flash off the top and through the table. Purcell then crawls over and makes the cover.
JD: What! No! One, two, three! That isn’t fair!
‘You’re The Best’ hits as Purcell gets his arm raised, Scorpio looks at Cage in anger before then pulling Purcell up and delivering the Paparazzi Flash to him as well. The crowd boos loudly at the lack of sportsmanship.
JD: What an awful loser!
FJ: Who cares! My boy Jack Purcell got through!
