Ryan Ruckus.
Both matches for the final were higly entertaining, as were the efforts of both of you throughout the tournament. You both have great visions of how wrestling works and it's a shame neither of you work for WWE or TNA!
Hondo you take it back a bit more old-school, and the whole possom grease miraculous knee-cure was great as has been the whole underdog fairytale throught the tourny. You always gave a plausible circumstance for Winchester getting as far as he did, working on his strangths such as his huge heart and letting fate take care of the rest. Just great out and out storytelling.
Ruckus, you just show an incredible knack of doing the right thing at the right time, and this whole shtick of having Muddin represent R2 in the final until he was about to get pinned was just pure heel perfection. Winning by submission in the end was a very chilling contrast to the fairytale ending. Kind of sick, but it worked with the occasion. (It's kind of ok as well because the obnoxious heel tactics means BJ can still hold his head up high)
If I was judging on this on the tournament overall, Hondo would have got the slight nod. The story he told with such an unlikely character was amazing throughout. But it's based on which match actually takes place as the final one, and well... perhaps I should have left it open to voting, to late for that now. The heel switch tactics and the way it ended up just appealed to my cynical nature more.
Congratulations both of you.
I will be putting the entire tournament as it happened match by match in a seperate thread.
