So I fell off the P90X wagon. I've been so bogged down with school and work I just haven't had the time. I've been keeping up with short jogs so I'm doing SOMETHING everyday, but unfortunately I let P90X beat me.
That out of the way, Lent started last week, and for 40 days I have chosen to eat only plants. So no meat, no milk, no eggs, no soda, nothing that isn't a plain old plant. (Fruits, veggies, herbs, spices, etc)
(I've made the exceptions of adding water, a daily vitamin, and any health/wellness related things mouth washes, headache medicine, or anything like that I may swallow)
It's put me in the strange position of having to work to eat enough calories, instead of cutting back calories. I've maintained healthy calorie levels but the weight loss has still been astounding.
It's weird how my body is working now also. I can see why vegans like to eat this way...though meal time has become a pain!
All in all, it's probably not a super healthy way to go necessarily, and I'll change for sure once the 40 days of Lent is up, but for now, the plant only diet is really helping me shed pounds.
